In Good Hands

To ensure that the high standards of the hometutor concept are adequately translated in practice, the individual hometutor must meet the following demands:

  • Positive certificate of conduct from the police
  • Written declaration of non-membership of the Scientology Organisation
  • A basic prerequisite for working as a hometutor, besides individual aptitude and professional qualification, is participation in the special best-practice educational-psychological training courses carried out by the institute.
  • In weekly supervisions by psychologists, educationalists, social educationalists, teachers, and others, the hometutors have an opportunity to talk about the subject-related and personal problems of the pupils and to obtain advice and support in the team.
  • Further training of the hometutors continues while they are working with the pupils, so that a continuous sensitisation and development in skills is assured.
  • Reports for each lesson are written for reference to keep track of the pupils development.

Because of this complex pedagogic approach, die hauslehrer® have been recognised by the German government as a place of practice for social pedagogues – probably unique for a tuition institute in Germany.

die hauslehrer® have also worked for established companies, such as Bayer, Ford and Mitsubishi, and in cooperation with public services in some cities, such as district administrations, youth welfare departments, social welfare departments, senate facilities and Hessian Television.
